  • *For participants of the Hojancha program - Your donation of $200 or more to the Casa Milagro Foundation. We will help you to fundraise to cover this cost, as well as the costs listed above!

** At our HOJANCHA COMMUNITY PROGRAM location, there is absolutely no charge to volunteers who would like to join us. The fee that is listed covers no more than the cost of lodging with a host family and a criminal background check. Because we do not charge anything to participate, volunteers are encouraged to make a donation of $200 or more to the Casa Milagro Foundation. Our overhead expenses are extremely low. But in order for us to continue the work we are doing here in Hojancha, we rely on donations from our kind and generous supporters.

We’re very excited to announce we have partnered with a great fundraising company, and they have been very successful in helping volunteers raise money using personalized donation pages to pay for some – and often all – of their travel and volunteer expenses. Our average volunteer raises over $2,000 with their fundraising campaign! 
So please keep that in mind when you are analyzing the costs involved. You may just find yourself taking a free trip!
