We love when our volunteers arrive and share about their experience with us! Kathryn G. wrote yesterday to tell us about her experience with her brother and 2 friends while at our Romelia Sea Turtle Project this last week. Here are her unedited words below…

Hi Scott! I just wanted to let you know that we can’t thank you enough for helping us plan such an incredible trip. We had such an amazing time right from the beginning – Hotel Berlor was comfortable and convenient, transportation was always arranged perfectly and on time, Luz en el Cielo was a great and friendly hostel, and of course, Romelia was wonderful. We loved every minute of living at the refuge; the wildlife was so beautiful and so interesting, the staff was fantastic, and we made some really great friends. The work we did was meaningful and lots of fun, and I’ll never forget the amazing experience of watching an Olive Ridley turtle lay each one of her 129 eggs. Montezuma was such a cool town, too, and our zipline tour was absolutely fantastic.

We’re back at Berlor now for the night before we leave tomorrow, but I just wanted to shoot you a thank-you email while I had the time. It was such a breath of fresh air to have a convenient itinerary with everything planned and scheduled for us (I’m usually the stressed out planner of all my group trips, so this made a huge difference) and you’ve been an amazing and helpful correspondent from the very first time I emailed you. Once again, thank you so much for helping us arrange this incredible experience. I’m so glad I stumbled upon Tropical Adventures one day last October (I can’t believe this has been in the works for so long!). We’ve all fallen in love with Costa Rica and certainly intend to come back someday!
